Football season is in full swing and if you will allow me to tear you away from your tailgating for a few moments, I have some porn news to share with you. As the leaves begin to turn and many of you feel a chill in the air, things are hot as ever in Porn Valley. We have the usual new contract girls to talk about, but there are also stories of mainstream crossovers, tension between popstars and pornstars as well as another celebrity sex tape to fill the pages.
Some stories are just too freaking strange to be made up and somehow a lot of them involve porn stars. When Kelly Clarkson ordered her custom pink Mustang she must have pictured herself tooling around SoCal with the top town and the wind in her hair. She probably also pictured heads turning everywhere she went. Little did she know that someone else was already cruising the streets in a car just like the one Kelly dreamed of. Imagine her surprise when she discovered that the girl turning heads in the Barbie mobile was none other than porn star Alana Evans. Apparently Kelly didn't like the idea that she might pull up next to Alana at a stoplight in matching cars and returned her custom ride to the dealership. Kelly apparently didn't want people mistaking her for Alana out on the street. On the surface it might seem a tad petty, but imagine the catfights that break out when two women show up at a party wearing the same dress.
No one is every going to mistake Ron Jeremy for Kelly Clarkson or Alana Evans, but he will be sharing shelf space with Michael Moore and Ann Coulter early next year. Harper Collins will publish Jeremy's autobiography "Ron Jeremy: The Hardest (Working) Man in Showbiz" next February. The 352 page book has been in the work for years and covers more than Jeremy's legendary career as a meat slinger. It will include over a hundred photos of Ron with some of the biggest celebrities on the planet. Following the success of Jenna Jameson's book last year, most people believe that this will be a big hit.
Ron Jeremy isn't the only porn guy with mainstream crossover appeal. Seymore Butts has been a porn staple for nearly two decades. Recently he has starred in his own reality show on Showtime, "Family Business." Now he will star in an independent film titled "A Study in the Orientation of Han Sum." The role is not a big stretch for Butts though as he plays himself. Seymore said, "I really enjoyed the whole process. I don't know how much acting I did, considering I was playing myself in the movie. But I am looking forward to seeing the final product" "A Study in the Orientation of Han Sum" is an Official Selection at the New York Independent Film Festival and will be showcased on the Independent Film Channel as part of the IFC Media Lab.
Last month AVN announced a change of venue for the annual AVN Awards. This month they made an even more important choice. Wicked contract star jessica drake has been tabbed to host the show this year. That announcement comes as Wicked is kicking off a big media blitz for their newest release "Manhunters" which stars Ms. drake and several of the other Wicked Girls. If you needed a good reason to get a ticket for the show, I would say that the chance to stare at jessica for a few hours would be a pretty good one.
