Welcome back readers to another back to school issue of the Pipeline. Those of you returning will remember the rules from last year and new students are invited to see last September’s column to find out with the rules are for Porn 101 with Professor Pipe. We’ve just about made it through another SoCal summer and even survived the Democratic convention and the much hyped protests outside. Hats off to the LAPD for making sure that no one died, few were hurt and the out of work left and right wing nutjobs (And even the labor union hacks) didn't get seriously injured.
Good news for Max Hardcore this month. The Los Angeles DA has refused to press charges against Max for his run in with porn star Olivia. Though she is clearly too drunk to even speak during their scenes, (Opening Max up for all kinds of civil trail fun.) Olivia reportedly went back for a second movie after the supposed ‘rape’ and consented to do all of the things she found so objectionable the first time around. Far from being out of the woods entirely, Max may soon find himself accused by other women who have had less than thrilling experiences with Mr. ‘Core. Who knows, one of these women might not be silly enough to back and shoot a second time after being ‘abused’ the first time around. Live and learn Max. I hear prison isn’t a good place to find young (female) fuckholes.
The great Alyssa Haven mystery has finally ended. First of all, she has changed her name to just Haven, preparing for single name superstardom. Additionally, the beautiful young blonde has finally settled on a deal that will thrust her into the porn spotlight. After months of speculation and a handful of contract offers from some very big companies, Haven has signed a one year deal with Jill Kelly Productions. The contract will have her in a number of productions and will feature her first boy/girl scene with someone other than her long time boyfriend. You guys will finally get o see what I’ve been telling you for a year and a half, that this young cutie is a super hot babe.
It’s not all good news for Haven though. A web master has taken some photos of her and turned it into a whole web site. The "Sexy Alyssa" site has pictures and an email address where you can write to Alyssa. Of course, since Haven has nothing to with the site, who knows who’s answering mail in her name. Now, as before, the only official Haven site is www.alyssahaven.com With a new design, the site has plenty to look at and enjoy.
Dodger fans were treated to quite a sight when a couple of amorous lesbians celebrated the home team’s success by locking lips. Over zealous stadium security escorted the couple outside after some fans complained about the public display of affection. Team officials later apologized and donated five thousand tickets to local gay and lesbian organizations. The victimized couple have made headlines all over the country and even popped up on CNN. What no one seems to have noticed is that one of the two ‘lesbians’ is former porn star Nico Treasures. Nico always did like to attract attention and has always been willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Some of you may remember a few years ago, when Nico told the Howard Stern show that she wouldn’t allow black men to participate in her deep throat contest video. Though she later went on to do scenes with black men on camera, that little comment caused quite a stir, just like her latest attention getting scam. Wait, did I say that out loud?
One interesting story came out of the whole Democratic National Convention. Orange County democratic congresswoman Loretta Sanchez took center stage when a fund raiser she planned ruffled a few feathers. The event was scheduled to take place at the Playboy Mansion. Hugh Hefner has donated tens of thousands of dollars to the Clinton and Gore campaigns over the last decade and the location of the party had been known for weeks. In spite of all this and in part because of the new direction taken by the democratic ticket, the location of the party had to be changed. At first, Sanchez refused, standing up to the hypocrisy thrown her way by Al Gore and Joe Lieberman. After the party threatened to cancel her speaking engagement and revoke her convention credentials, Sanchez did move the even. As a final twist, she turned down her speaking engagement, showing a lot more sack than the man at the top of the tickeet. So much for that free speech for all message the powers that be always tell us about. (Some of us still remember the PMRC Al.) I guess the message the Gore ticket is sending us is that our money is good enough, but they want nothing to do with the adult industry. I’ll remember that in November Al and hopefully so will millions of others.
Layla Jade is making headlines all over England these days. Stories have popped up about the blonde Brit in most of the UK’s major newspapers. She’s also planning another trip to the US in September to shoot some more movies. With any luck, her new web site will up about that time as well.
Some great news for net porn fans comes from the Internet Adult Film Database. (The folks who first encouraged me to organize my reviews.) The leading adult movie database, Internet Adult Film Database, unveiled a much requested feature today -- the ability to search on a pair of stars to see if they appeared in the same movie. With over 30,000 movies indexed and information on over 22,000 performers, the IAFD is the largest database of its kind on the Net. Partnerships with leading adult movie review sites, in addition to its own archive, links over 6700 consumer-written reviews into the database. Biographical information includes date and place of birth, measurements, eye color and links to the performer's websites. Tiffany Mynx may not be through bouncing around just yet. Elegant Angel has announced that Tiffany wants to be re-instated as Buttwoman and has gone so far as to shoot the first scene for a movie called "The Return of Buttwoman." Apparently Patrick Collins has no knowledge of the project and some officials as ElA are worried that he might still be upset with Ms. Mynx. All fans who want to see Tiffany take over as Buttwoman again are invited to drop an email to pleadwithpat@elegantangel.com and see if Collins can be persuaded.

As a final note, I would like to announce that the Pipeline has officially chosen a Presidential candidate to endorse for 2000. In spite strong rumors of a Pipe in 2000 run, I am going to have to hold off for a while since I'm not yet old enough to actually make a run for the Oval Office. Instead, the Pipeline endorses Governor George W. Bush for President. I know this goes against the usual porn/politics rhetoric, but I strongly believe he is best for the country and best for the average American. That said, I would strongly urge the Governor to remember that porn fans have money to spend, votes to cast and rights that will not be trampled upon. Should President Bush forget that, he will be the last Republican politician to receive the support of this column. Remember this readers, no matter who you vote for, please take part in the process.
