Normally, for a July column, I like to talk about how hot it probably is where you are and how sunny SoCal is the place to be with the mercury rising. Well, this year dear readers, I am not at home in lovely Cali, but rather on a short vacation in Laughlin, Nevada. Not only is it well over 100 degrees here, the damn talent level is nearly as high. Memo to all porn producers, there are hotties all over the place here. Warm weather plus modern fashion plus beautiful bodies equals one fun filled week in the sun.
Just last month, I started talking about Shane's first contract starlet, Sky. Well, after enjoying her scenes immensely, and actually having an interview set up, things changed. Sky is no longer with Shane, squashing the interview. (And making me rather disappointed in the process.) Details are sketchy at this point as to what led to the parting of the ways, but recent rumors have Sky already picked up by Vivid Video. Let's hope they don't do to her what they've done to Taylor Hayes.
Is it me, or did it seem like every porn star on the planet made an appearance on Howard Stern this month? In a memorable segment, reining gang bang princess, Houston came on to describe her prom date with some poor Howard fan. Does anyone remember when porn stars had to actually do something of merit on film before they became worthy of any sort of media coverage? As hard as it is to believe, this woman may be single handedly lowering people's opinions of porn stars. (Who would have thought that was even possible?) I just feel sorry for the poor kid who had to fall for this never-was' latest attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of the porn public. The sooner she goes away, the better we'll all be.
Elegant Angel has finally filled their contract girl void with a fresh faced, 100% natural babe named Elle. I was lucky enough to sit down and interview this lovely young lady this month. Many of you will be thrilled to find out that she refuses to get implants, has no tattoos and plans to stay natural. More from Elle in the interview, coming along next month.
I was able to attend the Erotica LA show again this year. Once again, it was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. No cameras were allowed onto the floor, and I heard more than one disappointed fan voice his unhappiness with this new rule. There seemed to me more women on hand this year, so that was nice. Wicked had a huge booth just inside the door and had starlets Serenity, Juli Ashton and
Stephanie Swift signing posters for lines of adoring fans. The hot rumor from that booth is that the Wicked directors are fighting over just who will get to direct the two great scripts that are currently serving as coffee coasters on Steve Ornstein's desk.
Samantha Stylle was also at ELA, announcing a new contract for web work and a line of her own videos. More details on this as they come in. (And YES, Samantha looked fucking fantastic.) Actually, the whole show looked like a Rog Interviews reunion, with Jasmin St. Claire, Melanie Stone, Kiss, Tina Tyler and Laurel Canyon joining Juli, Serenity and Sammy. (That's nearly half the women I've ever interviewed in one place at one time.) In addition to the women, porners Dave Cummings and Rodney Moore were on hand to greet fans and scope out the crowd for new talent. All in all, it was an interesting day. Hopefully July's visit to VSDA will bring a more interesting report and some photos to share with you.
Kendra Jade's web site, which I talked about here last month, has been taken down. It seems the guys who were working on her site had a change of plans and are now using the traffic Kendra has sent them, to line their own pockets with some sort of scam. Nice to see some things never change.
In news that is sure to put some spring in the shorts of Asian porn lovers, Mimi Miyagi is back in front of the camera after four years off. She is shooting her own movie, "Fant-Asians" which is (Natch) and Asian themed video starring Cumisha, Leanni Lei, Mia Smiles, and of course Mimi. Her two scenes in the movie will be lesbian pairings with Mia and Leanni, but for fans who have waited forever to see Ms. Miyagi back on film, the release date can't come soon enough.

Leanni Lei has not retired from porn. I got to actually sit down with her on the Mimi Miyagi set and found her to be as wonderfully charming as she is cute. The interview is rather long, so look for it next month along with some photos snapped by my friends at www.talkingblue.com I won't give anything away, but let's say Rog got to fulfill a fantasy he has had ever since he first saw Leanni on film.
What ever happened to the Stacy Q porn contracts with Metro and/or VCA?
Just when it looked like I had the whole Extreme Associates lineup in my sights for interviews, they go and change the roster again. Longtime Ex Girl Iroc has gone home for a while. Word on the street is she might be back at some point. At the same time Iroc's contract ran out, Extreme let lose starlets Monique and Jena Talia (Alana.) Both of these women are too hot to stay on the open market long, so look for them in movies really soon. (And in interviews as well, if I'm very lucky.) The moves have left Extreme with Jessica Darlin, Jasmin St. Claire, Ashlyn Gere and the recently signed Kristie Myst, still under contract.
All right my friends, I have pecked away on this keyboard long enough. The batteries on the laptop are running down, my drink is nearly empty and I can't decide between the roulette table, which has been calling my name for an hour, the incredible buffet or chasing down this pair of hotties who have been eyeing me for the past twenty minutes. I wonder if "Hello ladies. I'm Rog, and I can make you a star." would work?
