With both parties in full convention mode, trying hard to put a moderate face on their agenda and wooing your vote I'm going to step away from politics this month. There is plenty more to talk about from the world of porn. Let the political hacks (and the industry rags) bicker over which half-ass social security plan is better. Why worry about that when we have baseball, movies and porn to talk about? Admittedly this is a slow month for news from Porn Valley because everyone spent an entire weekend in Las Vegas for the 2004 VSDA show. That shut things down for a while and sadly I was not able to make it over into the desert to bring back the good dirt. (Don't worry about it though. I heard that nothing much happened so we're in good shape.)
I got to interview Kick Ass contract girl and former gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey last month. Taking time out from her busy tanning schedule in Florida, the busty blonde gave me some telephone time. We talked about her budding political career, her (allegedly) natural rack and having sex with celebrities. Perhaps the best news to come from the interview is the fact that in her most recent release, Mary Carey Rules 4, she is back to doing scenes with guys. Come to think of it, that is pretty great news, but not quite as good as her promise to let me do a real/fake test on the boobs when she gets back to town.
Bad news for fans of former jail-bait celebs this month. First Mary Kate Ashley revealed that she had an eating disorder (No shit) and now she's in rehab for a narcotics problem. Now we get word that Britney Spears is engage. No, really this time. She's tying the knot and will possibly even be sober this time. Now for the sad news. Not only is Brit off the market, but she's marrying a guy who can't seem to keep his dick out of his ex. Brother, you are about to land the biggest fish in the sea. How about you keep your prick in your pants long enough to get the ring, tape Britney getting freaking and then ooze back into the gutter like all meat puppets in celebrity sex vids should.
Following her fellow Sin City contract babe Aurora Snow, Hannah Harper has signed on for another year with the company. With a brand new two-year contract Hannah had this to say. "I really like working with the company and it's directors. They have given me some wonderful roles to pursue and I feel at home with them. Deciding to stay was easy." Still focusing on hot sex scenes, Hannah has branched out while at Sin City, working in features and getting quite a bit of print work including a recent High Society cover with the aforementioned Mary Carey.
The Olympics are just around the corner and I know we are all hoping that the athletes return home safely. Even with the games still ahead we have probably already seen the most amazing athletic story of the year. Lance Armstrong won his sixth consecutive Tour de France last week, making him the all-time record holding and cementing his place as the best in his sport and an all-around stud. If the Olympic athletes show the heart and determination that Lance shows every year then they will be returning with a ton of gold. Sadly Lance was spit on as he made his way towards the finish line, showing that classless sports "fans" do exist outside of soccer and New York City. (Relax OK that was a joke.)
Having fixed the disc-scratching issue, Private has decided to go with their new slim packaging for their releases. The DVD cases are about 1/3 the thickness of normal DVDs and make it much easier to store. Collectors should be happy, though there has been some concern from store owners who find it more difficult to display the discs "library style." (With the spine facing customers.) Personally I like the new packaging. Now I can fit three times as many great Private DVDs on my shelf. We'll see if this kind of packaging catches on with other companies.
Speaking of new stuff, we've got some brand-new Rog gear to break out this month. After using the same design and style for all of the "Rog Rules" T-shirts for three years, I've finally done some new stuff. The folks at Propaganda T Shirts have helped me come up with some new stuff, new fonts and a few cool new garments. In addition to the traditional T-Shirts and spaghetti strap tank-tops, we have some baseball-style women's T-Shirts in red and white. We've also got some very cute red briefs with the slogan right across the tushy. These should make for some great shots. Now that we have gear we need to find some sexy women to model the shots for us. Any takers?
OK, I will not avoid politics completely, but I am not about to try and counter all of the political cheerleading coming from the Right and the Left these days. I hope everyone will pick an issue, research the candidates, see through the hype and make a choice based on actual issues. Please, if you care about adult material take a long hard look at the Libertarian Party. We all know how (many) Republicans feel about pornography, but anyone thinks that the Democrats will be any better is in for a very rude awakening. Vote for your issues everyone, but vote and yes, do give the Libertarian party a serious look.
By the time I speak with you again the summer will be winding down, a whole new crop of future porn girls will be hitting campus and Britney should be back on the market. With a little luck, all of the athletes will return from Athens without incident and we can all enjoy the spirit of competition without blowing anyone up. Things may be happening in a big way in Porn Valley as well. I hear that some serious player movement could be taking place as both directors and contract stars get ready to bolt for new homes.
